State Minimum Wage Increase

The Illinois Minimum Wage increases today, January 1, 2020, to $9.25 an hour.  There will be gradual increases to the Illinois minimum wage through 2025 bringing the minimum wage up to $15.00 an hour.  For the city of Chicago and Cook County please refer to the Cook County and City of Chicago Minimum Wage Increases Effective July 1, 2018 article
