CMS announced the release of the new 2021 fee schedule that takes into account the Congressional changes from the late December omnibus budget and relief bill. Fortunately, we received a one-year reprieve from the drastic cuts previously planned.

The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) recently adopted a rule that authorizes remote formal hearings by video or telephone. The rule applies to hearings on formal IDFPR Complaints to discipline or refuse to renew a license, or when an applicant requests a formal hearing to contest an application denial.

As you may have noticed in the December 2020 BlueReview, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) announced changes to the City of Chicago and Indian Prairie School District plans. In response to ICS’ inquiry, BCBSIL has confirmed that, beginning on January 1, 2021, Orthonet will no longer handle preauthorization for any BCBSIL plans. Read the article to learn more!

The CDC updated the list of symptoms without fanfare a few weeks ago and most of those changes have been reflected in the new screening documents below. Although there are a few symptoms on their list that are not included in the screening tools below, we are using both IDFPR symptom listing and the symptoms listed in the CDC self-checker.
